The Calgary Corporate Volunteer Council (CCVC)
Mission: “To strengthen community by promoting best practice & strengthening
employer supported volunteerism.”
Corporate Calgary: Gear Up to Volunteer! The Calgary Corporate
scene is increasingly becoming in tune with the needs of the community and
we are seeing more employees getting involved! As more businesses begin to
enhance their corporate social responsibility programs, many have started to
see the value in supporting employee volunteerism in the workplace, such as
promoting leadership, encouraging teamwork, and improving job performance
and satisfaction.
In keeping with this trend, the Calgary Corporate Volunteer Council (CCVC)
has been founded. The CCVC is a collaborative body of individuals
from businesses throughout Calgary working collectively to respond to the
critical needs of the city by actively developing and advocating workplace
volunteerism as a key community building strategy.
Recognizing that workplace volunteerism is a large part of the community
investment landscape, the CCVC aims to create and utilize a system of
sharing information and expertise relating to community investment with a
focus on workplace volunteerism. If you are interested in engaging your
business and your employees in the world of volunteerism, join the CCVC!
