ASK OUR EXPERTS...

I have heard a lot about Mastermind Groups and their value. How do I create one and what guidelines are effective?

When you are building and growing your business, challenges and opportunities abound. A Mastermind Group will support you by turning your vision into reality by helping you:
- set realistic and effective goals (mapping out your route);
- keep focused and inspired (creating your daily itinerary);
- chart your success by providing essential feedback (being flexible);
- provide moral and emotional support (for the joy of your journey).

You can create your group using the following guidelines:

1) First, take the time to create a wish list of the qualities and personalities that you work best with. Then exercise due diligence to carefully select people who have these qualities. For example: honest, supportive, accepting, non-judgmental , encouraging, forgiving, generous, etc.

2) With members in place, ask that they make a commitment to meeting regularly.

3) Each member will need to set effective goals. Plan your work and work your plan! Chunk it down – keep your perspective and be realistic.

4) Help each member maintain focus. Each of us has a clear choice to be in the present moment or to be distracted. When we learn to attend to the task at hand and practice a culture of just getting it done, we step into power.

5) Watch for the barriers to success. Your inner critic keeps you focused on the cup being half-empty, plus your fear can drive your opportunities away.

6) Practice team accountability. Share your journey with each other. It is easy to forget what you have accomplished until it is written down. Chart your success. We create powerful synergy when we build on each others success.

7) With group networking you multiply your networking efforts and you save time – referral creates instant trust and relationships and doors open with ease. Growth is exponential with the group mind. This creates power and momentum. Create credibility and presence by promoting each other not just yourself.

Final note: People don’t care what you know until they know that you care! When you care enough to give and receive you can create clean giving and receiving!
