PFC creates opportunities to improve the quality of
life for all Calgarians through the creation of parks, the preservation of
river valleys &the support of amateur sport.
Parks Foundation Calgary (PFC) is a non-profit organization
established in 1985. Since its establishment, PFC has helped
create over $125 million worth of parks and natural areas throughout
Calgary, granted over $17 million to amateur sport, parks and playground
initiatives, and helped ensure that our city remains vibrant and accessible
to all. You might not know it, but we played a role in bringing to life most
of the parks and pathways you walk and play in!
Today, under the guidance of our president Myrna Dubé, the hard work of our
small staff and the dedication of our Board of Governors, we are involved in
a number of exciting projects which will benefit you and your family.
PFC is pleased to have recently launched our Building
Playgrounds and Communities Program. This incentive will help community and
school organizations create better, more accessible playgrounds for their
children to play and grow in.
We are also involved in a new linear pathway project which will give new
pathways to Calgarians not able to access our existing path system.
PFC is also close to completing a new urban park in the
Calgary Beltline area. Named “Haultain Park”, it will offer residents and
workers a playground, mini-soccer field, greenery and leisure areas.
We believe strongly in creating a greener, greater city of Calgary for you
and your family and cannot do so without the support of people like you. For
