RISING WOMEN EXPERT
ADVICE...
My sales are down
due to changes in the market. How do I shift my brand to increase my sales
and improve my position in the market place?
Your clients are thinking twice as budgets have shrunk with this recession.
Now is the time to be bold and create a dynamic presence. Here are 9 steps
to recession proof your business.
1) Survey your best clients as to what they like about your brand and what
other products and services they would like. Be open to how you can change
your products or services to meet the current needs in the market place. You
are looking to discover new benefits that your clients are seeking as well
as those you want to provide new clients.
2) Ask your clients for testimonials. When your clients brag about you,
people listen. When people hear about the value that you bring to the market
place, they will consider being your client. Remember, messages need to be
repeated more than once to develop the relationship.
3) Ask for referrals. Don’t forget to ask for support from your existing
client base. Today, people are more cautious with their purchases and when
loyal customers or clients provide referrals this leads to more solid
relationships.
4) Create a blog to open the discussion up with your clients. Post at least
once a week to build the excitement. Blogging is an excellent way to create
an online community that can truly build your brand and anchor your
position.
5) Get involved with your community by volunteering or being a sponsor at an
event. We buy from people we know, trust and like.
6) Offer some of your products, complimentary to those who you become a
raving fan or who may be in need. Now is the time to take care of each
other. We create a buzz in the marketplace when we are generous.
7) Join a mastermind group to hold you accountable as you build your
business and be the best you can be. A mastermind group can support your
business growth with creative ideas, insights, referrals and momentum.
8) Study the competition and craft some steps that you can take to improve
your products and services.
9) Hire a coach who can challenge you to become the best service provider. A
coach can help you leverage your business growth and reach goals beyond your
beliefs.
