RISING WOMEN EXPERT
ADVICE...
I am ready to seriously grow my business. Is it true that the key is
to build my relationships with people using tools such as database
management, networking, viral marketing and social networking?
Think of relationship building as a recipe and including the following
steps:
Step 1: Information Gathering - Establish clarity with your
product offerings and communications. The following questions will guide you
to the answers: What are the benefits and value of your product/service? Do
you have a clear statement of value and purpose that your product/ service
brings to your client? What makes you the expert? How are you going to
reward client loyalty? How are you going to keep them interested in you? Do
you understand the needs and expectations of your customers and can you meet
those expectations? What follow-up and follow-thru systems have you
developed? What systems do you have in place to create excellence in what
you do? Have you put aside weekly time and resources to database and
network?
Step 2: Build Your Database - First get permission from people
to begin to build relationships. You can do this by sending out a notice of
E-zine asking if people would like to sign-up or you can make this request
online, by phone or in person. Think of this as an invitation to you and
your services just like you are inviting people to a celebration.
Step 3: Establish Your Credibility - Use great testimonials,
create a user friendly website and write articles or be featured in a
magazine like Rising Women. This will establish credibility and rapport
between you and the marketplace.
Step 4: Create a Sense of Urgency - This can be achieved by
understanding what solutions you bring to the table and how much compassion
you have for your clients.
Step 5: Build the Connection - You can do this by offering
tips through your e-zine, asking great questions, being a good listener and
offering genuine support. We all want to trust our associates. Once you have
established trust, people will begin to buy more, have client loyalty and
refer their friends to you. In addition, those who are in your network will
become Strategic Alliances. Once you have built these relationships, you are
ready to expand by using viral marketing and social networking which are
very similar. You are requesting that a second or third party spreads the
word about who you are and what services you have to offer. People are
willing to help when they have a bond with you.
