Hair Raising Solutions - Answers Without Chemicals & Hormones

ear not ladies, we can regrow hair, without chemicals and too many male hormones! In my last article, we talked about how we loose hair, and how hair is created complete with the makeup of the hair structure, so as promised these are some ideas as to how you can grow your hair back thicker and healthier than ever before. I use a common sense approach to regrowing the hair based on how hair grows to begin with and what needs to be in place or occur for there to be results. Bottom line is hair is created from the inside out.

1) You need to eliminate some of the causes of hair loss such as Thyroid or Diabetes disorders through blood testing as it reveals the functionality, toxicity and nutrition levels. You get all the answers in an hour, covering all your basis in one test. Thyroid Disease or Diabetes causes not only hair loss but weight gain or loss, fatigue, mood and sleep issues, and usually an imbalance in the total endocrine system.

2) You need to cleanse out the colon, liver and kidneys. This should be directed by someone knowledgeable in cleansing the whole body to get the best results. It is much easier to absorb nutrients and feed a cleansed body with the liver being able to convert proteins and essential fatty acids.

3) You need to detoxify your body of pharmaceutical chemicals, including chemo, radiation, birth control, mercury, lead, aluminium, and some HRT as well. Again with direction from a knowledgeable practitioner.

4) Increase your circulation through regular exercise, increased brushing, scalp massage, herbs, vitamins, and homeopathy. Poor circulation can be responsible for lack of nutrients, getting to the hair follicle and improper drainage of the toxins in the skin.

5) Eat healthy creating a lifestyle of fresh organic vegetables, protein, grains, essential fatty acids, water, fruit, etc. These foods provide the nutrients Vitamins A, B’s, C, E, Folic Acid, Iron, Zinc, Copper, Iodine, Essential Fats, and when combined with water and exercise provide most of the nutrients for hair growth.

6) Avoid sugar, processed foods, fatty red meats, full fat dairy products; caffeinated products such as coffee, tea, cola drinks and chocolate. They can deplete the body of nutrients and raise adrenal levels, which will cause a chain reaction of producing more androgen and causing hair loss.

7) Reduce stress in which ever way your heart desires, but spend the time on you. Stop taking on every body else’s problems and make time for yourself, take a class in something you have always wanted to try, meditate daily, figure out all the stresses and somehow figure out what the stress is and what the remedy is and just get it done even if you have to hire someone.

When the body becomes clean and rid of toxins, it works more efficiently in understanding and directing its nutrients, circulating them through the blood cells and transporting them to the areas that use them and are in need of them, including the hair follicle, root, cortex, glands, hormones, etc.

Now we are ready to make the hair grow. Let’s start with a wonderful scalp massage and brushing using a blend of essential oils known for their ability to open and prepare the hair root on the scalp. Besides feeling great and something you can do yourself, it creates circulation to the area.

Next, open the hair root from the inside using homeopathic remedies for blocked and sebaceous glands and hair roots. I typically use plexes, which are combined with nutrition, herbs and specific for other problems as well. This homeopathic treatment is determined after evaluation of the patient’s case in detail. The case study is the most vital part of the treatment, wherein various aspects of the patient’s life style, personality, food habits, emotional make-up and family history are evaluated appropriately to decide on the correct medication to treat hair loss.

As the entire constitution (physical and mental) of the patient is evaluated in a systematic manner, this homeopathic treatment is called as the “constitutional treatment”. The very significance of the constitutional treatment in homeopathy is to “treat the patient as a whole” or “patient as a person” which is directed to heal the body-mind system from within. The constitutional treatment helps the body’s own healing mechanism, enhances body’s self-recovery capacity hence leading to long-term sustained results.

Some of the general, single homeopathic remedies I use for hair loss are: Fluoricum acidum for brittle hair that falls out in small tufts. Lycopodium for premature balding and graying, or hair loss after childbirth. Eczema is often behind the ears. Kali carbonicum for dry, thinning hair. Kali Sulphuricum for yellow, flaking dandruff, which may be moist or sticky. Hair may fall out, leaving bald spots. Phosphorus, indicated when hair falls out in handfuls. Selenium for hair loss on the body and scalp. The scalp feels painful when touched. Silica is vital to the strength of hair, and although it will not necessarily stop hair from falling out from the follicle, it will stop hair breakage. It works by stimulating the cell metabolism and formation, which slows the aging process.

There are natural remedies for shampoo, conditioners, rinses, gels, colors, covering grey, etc., using simple household items such as lemon juice, lemons and oranges, gelatin, sage, rosemary, cornstarch as a dry shampoo (who would have thought), chamomile, eggs, vinegar, apple cider vinegar, beets, carrots, thyme, avocados, etc. Recipes for these and more may be found at an amazing website I stumbled across.
