In 2007, Diane Colton and Caroline de L. Davies launched
Mobility Tax. Together they have sixteen years of experience in
the financial services industry and seven years in the tax preparation
business. They recognize that in today’s busy world, people are always in a
rush and have trouble finding time to get everything done. Getting taxes in
order can be overwhelming and is frequently pushed to the bottom of people’s
“To Do” list.
Diane and Caroline decided to create a mobile service, offering free pick up
and delivery from clients’ homes or offices - a service which is of
particular value to those who are “shut-ins” and are unable to get to a tax
office. They have hired professional preparers that are fluent in English,
French, Gujarati, Spanish and Urdu to service the diverse population of
Calgary. Services include personal, small business and corporate tax
returns.
Diane has personally completed over 6000 tax preparations and has helped her
clients save thousands of dollars in taxes. As a result, she has many
returning customers.
While other companies have increased their rates, Mobility Tax
has deliberately chosen to charge the same rates as last year. Starting at
$25 for full-time students, prices are adjusted according to the number of
slips presented with the return. Our average price for filing taxes in 2007
