RISING WOMEN EXPERT
ADVICE...
What is Auricular Medicine and what are
the benefits to this type of therapy?
Auricular Medicine was founded by Dr. Paul Nogier, a renowned French
Neurologist best known for his innovative work in the development of
auriculotherapy (ear acupuncture).
It took Dr. Paul Nogier seven years to map out the ear with three phases of
each body point. That’s right, you have three phases of every body point on
your ear! Each point can be picked out with an electrical device that looks
for the change in resistance on the skin. Each point found shows a block to
healing in that organ. The three phases of each body point represent the
body points in different stages of the dis-ease process. Most dis-eases come
over a period of time. A “phase 1” imbalance is a slight inflammation of
that organ, “phase 2” is moderate inflammation, and “phase 3” is a severe or
intense inflammation and congestion that have been going on for many years.
All three phases can be treated by either a point on the ear by using
electrical stimulation, massage, laser or needles, ear seeds or a remedy.
Unblocking the auricular points, by treating the point, goes directly to
that organ, and will immediately start the unblocking process. Using
remedies is an alternative to treating the ear points because for some
people treating ear points could cause a healing crisis.
There is another part to the auricular process in which the “field” of the
ear is assessed in the very beginning to see whether or not the “field” is
normal or too far from the ears themselves. A well person will have a field
only about 1/2 to 1 cm from each ear.
A specific filtering protocol is used to determine the “cause” of the
disturbance(s) that the person is complaining about, including the location
of the points described above. The cause of the ailment is found, which I
believe is the highest benefit. If other types of treatments are needed,
this can also be determined, not to mention testing the remedies the person
is taking, to see if they truly require them. The next benefit is knowing
how the body wants to heal. This is disclosed through the filtering process,
which will shed a lot of light as to why the person is experiencing the
headaches, poor digestion, skin outbreaks, rashes, joint/muscle pain, etc.,
and other peculiar symptoms that they may have. Ultimately, the “block to
healing”, otherwise called the “cause”, is determined and removed by either
a remedy or ear point stimulation.
