Let’s compare your company and Starbucks. Coffee is a beverage that can be purchased everywhere. Starbucks gives the customer what they really want: an amazing, totally customized coffee experience. They create an impression from the moment the customer enters the store and smells the aroma until the cup hits the garbage. The Starbucks brand creates an experience and customers are so impressed they return with their friends.

What would be the ultimate experience your client/ customer could have with you and your product? How can you make it happen? When you know what is amazing about your company, you will have begun to climb the mountain. Next, make a commitment to over promise and over deliver. This builds successful brands in the long run. People return to Starbucks because they have a great experience every time. Enhancing your attractiveness to clients ensures they will seek you out first. Price will become a secondary issue.

This approach is really about having the clarity to understand your customer needs and values. Cater to them by providing an excellent experience (customer service). In this manner, you are marketing from the inside out and tapping into referral marketing - the most effective type of marketing strategy. You can create this when you are committed to creating a practice of excellence.

Lastly, you represent your company so be yourself and be your best. When you and your company are excited and enthusiastic it is contagious and people are drawn to working with you. Re-charging yourself and your company helps build consistency and trust into your brand.
