I have been searching for “happiness” for
years. I have a great family, home and career, yet something is still
missing. What am I doing wrong?
Your conditioned “Self” or “Ego” is fear based and believes that everything
good is outside of you. Nothing is ever good enough. Ego wants “fast”:
instant food, credit, quickie divorce, travel. Ego wants more: money and
things (buy now/pay later). Ego compares you to others and finds you
lacking. It leads to envy, impatience, greed, selfishness, gluttony, debt,
self-doubt, worry, judgment, depression, suffering, victim, misery, pain,
despair, guilt, sin, isolation and separation. Ego wants external pleasures
to satisfy internal needs, and they don’t. Your Ego (consciously or
unconsciously) doubts your ability for inner happiness, and the world
mirrors that back to you.
The goal of life is happiness. Do you know anyone who would refuse a “gift
of true happiness”? The key to true happiness is self-acceptance and
forgiveness. Living in a state of true happiness is a self-discovery journey
of
re-learning and re-connecting with your inner potential for love, peace,
wholeness and unity with Spirit/God. By creating a habit of focusing on
happiness, joy, love, peace, abundance and health, you will find that the
world will mirror it back to you, regardless of time, place or circumstance.
Cultivate these 8 Strategies to Happiness:
1) Focus on being in the moment. See happiness right here, right
now. Remember that your past conditioning is all made up. Your personal
history, defenses, fears, limitations, expectations and rolls you play are
just stories to make sense of life;
2) Check in with yourself several times daily to see if you are you coming
from fear or love;
3) Finish the sentence “I’ll be happy when ___.” Look for the underlying
meaning of what you are chasing in life because it is connected to what you
are unable to accept about yourself;
4) Invest in the habit of counting your blessings;
5) Accept and forgive yourself. See your inner light and beauty now;
6) Accept and forgive others. See other people’s inner light now;
7) Ask yourself what makes you truly happy and do more of it, and;
8) Feel your connectedness to Spirit. Focus on your inner potential of
happiness, peace and love.
Happiness is a decision: 10% circumstance and 90% attitude. You have to
truly believe you are worthy of happiness, love, peace and joy. Learn to do
more of what makes you happy every day and to be happy with what you are
doing. Enlightenment is happiness now!
