RISING WOMEN EXPERT ADVICE...
Are there natural remedies for vaginal dryness?
Well first we need to discover why? Many women have vaginal dryness for
different reasons such as menopause, diabetes, fatigue, stress, emotional
issues or hormone imbalance, to name a few. The first question I ask is: Do
you have the desire? Can you satisfy yourself with sexual orgasm through
stimulation and can you make moisture? If you have the desire, then you can
set the stage for an enjoyable experience, that’s the psychology of it!
Making love/sex relieves stress. It can make us and our partners feel loved
while releasing the hormones and endorphins for our physical, mental and
emotional health, creating whole body balance. And besides “setting the
stage”, following are some more natural things we can do to stimulate
moisture:
Aphrodisiacs - Better smelling than the oysters, burning Sandalwood
incense, candles or aromatherapy diffusers can stimulate our glands and
certainly provide body change. There other oils and scents that can arouse
us as well. A couple drops of vanilla oil in each armpit can also create
moisture below. Clary Sage for hot flashes and arousing desire, Ylang Ylang
for sex drive, and others such as Jasmine, Rose, Cinnamon and Ginger can be
used for sexual stimulation through smell and on our skin, but should
definitely be diluted. If you get essential oils in delicate places they
burn, so dilute with almond, grapeseed oil, even olive oil but never water.
Trying to wash it off with soap and water can make it burn worse.
Herbal/Vitamins/Homeopathy Products - These can make a huge
difference in desire, moisture, mental and emotional changes but should be
suggested by a qualified practitioner who is knowledgeable and has the
diagnostic tools to be able to understand your condition and then suggest
the appropriate homeopathic remedies, herbal remedies and vitamins
specifically for you.
Natural Gels and Creams - Shelf products for massage and stimulation
may contain alcohol and chemicals that are irritants to sensitive skin. I
personally feel that we should make our own moisture, but failing that, we
can use natural recipes containing aloe gels, natural oils, etc. The
internet has some pretty pleasing recipes for such things, but please
consider the Ph values for long term use in intimate areas.
Hormone Creams - These include products such as our Life Flow
Progesterone/Estrogen creams. When rubbed on your thigh or lower belly they
can be stimulating as well as effective for balancing hormones.
