RISING WOMEN EXPERT
ADVICE...
How can I re-charge my brand for 2010 and grow my position in the
marketplace?
When you take charge of your branding, you take charge of your
marketing and sales. Here are some steps to recharge, re-position and grow
your business.
First, let’s examine how you can re-charge and refresh your brand. Your
brand is the sum of your companies persona, the image you project and your
capacity and competency of what you do. Perception by your clients and
prospects in your target marketplace is everything; your goal is to focus on
becoming the number one choice and creating an uncontested marketplace. To
accomplish this and refresh your brand you will need to complete an audit of
where you are currently and where you want to go. Begin with being radically
honest with yourself and your business. You are looking for ways to improve
and implement new strategies and best practices. Answer these questions:
1) What is your promise to your clients?
2) How are you passionate about your business?
3) What are your values and what do you stand for?
4) What problems do you solve and how?
5) How do you take care of or give value to your clients?
6) How likeable are you and why?
7) How well are you listening to your clients and your prospective clients?
8) Identify your problem areas (weaknesses).
9) Identify organizations that are current leaders in your market place and
how you compare.
10) Identify other leaders best practices and how can you implement them
into your business.
11) How well does you company perform in the marketplace and why, or why
not?
12) What are others saying about you?
13) What do you want people to say?
14) How do you want your business to grow?
Once you have completed this audit have a trusted mentor help you assess
your answers and ensure that the information you have gathered is accurate.
Remember we buy emotionally. We return because of caring and good value. We
refer you when your values are clear and you are passionate about your
business. To create change you need to make an honest commitment to the
strategies needed to be implement and you need to tap into the resources of
peers, mentors, and coaches to hold you accountable as you shift your
practices and improve.
