Scar
Tissue Investigation -
A Look at Homeopathic & Herbal Remedies
By Janet Rowe of Health & Natural Lifestyles
Hello to all who asked for me to report on the investigation I did for scar
tissue remedies. My original article came out in the June 2005 issue of
Rising Women and since then I have had calls from as far as Florida
looking for the results of my research. For those of you who may have missed
that article, the jest of it was on how scar tissue and internal adhesions
from injuries, surgeries, etc., can cause us other health problems such as
bowel strictures, ovaries, uterus, testes and intestinal complications. I
was equally amazed at how scar tissue affected the liver, heart, lungs,
breathing and consequent illnesses or disorders caused from their
restriction and toxicity.
I learned that scar tissue can be broken down, but it is not an easy
procedure. Remember that old adage “nothing worthwhile and lasting is
remedied overnight”? There is no magical pill, but there are a number of
things that can be done to help us rid our bodies of this scar tissue, and
its causes of other illness. Remember this is a generic summary of research
for all types of scar tissue.
Let’s start with nutrition and diet. Basically you want to follow a yeast
free food list, staying away from any milk, because of mucous forming
properties, and/or the genetic/chemical modification in soy beans, corn,
wheat and canola. Use only organic grains, rice and cereals and choose good
fats. These consist of fish oil, organic flax oil, hemp oil and cold olive
oil, and should become a daily regimen not just in eliminating bad fat, but
also for repairing the skin as the scar tissue shrinks.
Digestion of proteins is also essential in this regimen and most
importantly, drink half your body weight in pounds, in ounces of spring
water per day.
Research suggests consuming an enzyme strength that can be found in a
product called Neprinol. Neprinol is formulated to break down scar tissue
and inflammation. This product is also formulated to help other conditions
such as thrombus formation, arthritic and inflammatory conditions along with
associated pain, atherosclerosis (heart disease), fibrocystic breast disease
(fibrosis), Multiple Sclerosis, (sclerosis), Fibroids - Endometriosis
(fibrosis), Cystic Fibrosis, Peyronies Disease, (fibrosis) and all forms of
Arthritis that are at all related to the deposition of fibrin in the blood.
It is recommended that you stay on it for at least six months.
There is also some homeopathics (all of which are in a 3X to 6X potency),
which can aid in reducing scar tissue. As with literally all homeopathics,
they can work on numerous symptoms so you should research their modalities
to find the closest to your condition. Some common homeopathics include
Arnica Montana 30C for swelling, soreness and bruising, Causticum, Graphites,
Calcarea Phosphorica, Silica, Bellis Per, Calendula Officianlis, Calcarea
Fluorica, Hydrofluoricum Acidum, Phytolacca Decandra, Thiosnaminum, Thuja
Occidentalis and Fluoricum Acidum. Sometimes tissue cell salts can contain
many of these in one formula.
Herbal remedies are different than homeopathics, and can further add to the
speed of braking down the scar tissue and protecting and calming the nerve
endings within the scar tissue. Some of these are Gotu Kola, Chickweed,
Skunk Cabbage, Oriental Mustard Seed, Ho Shou Wo, and Cayenne with Prickly
Ash for circulation. Support for the liver and lymph for carrying the
garbage to the bowel for elimination, can be achieved through Grape Seed
Extract, Vitamin E with Selenium, Super Lipoic Acid, Dandelion with Celery
Seed, Cleavers and Chelidonium Plex.
Essential oils are another remedy to seek out. A combination of
Frankincense, Helichrysum, Hyssop, Lavender, Rosewood, Lecithin oil, Vitamin
E oil, Germanium, Lemongrass, Cypress, and Almond oil is quite effective. By
rubbing in these essential oils into the scar tissue area, you accentuate
the circulation and increase the white blood cells in that area.
Set the energy intent for the oil to help brake down the scar tissue, and
allow your body to accept the love and light we haven’t yet bestowed on our
scar tissue. Most of us have just continued to knock it, blame it and wish
it away. Sometimes when we embrace the problem, acknowledge it, understand
why we have it, and why it can be come part of our health journey, we can
accept it and work at the solutions for ourselves it can give us faster and
more enjoyable healing. I believe that Spirit gives us these conditions, to
make sure we spend some time on ourselves, and not just others.
Along side setting up your regimen of food, supplements, homeopathics and
essential oils, it is also important to exercise to keep the elimination
systems moving.
This summary of research is not intended to be for everybody, or to do in
part or whole, just basically the results of my scar tissue investigation
that I wished to share. Ask the opinion and guidance from a natural
practitioner when seeking out what homeopathics, herbs, foods, etc., are
best for you. And remember, how well your new regime will work will depend
on the extent of your health issues. I am sure there can be hundreds of
variations here and I wish you the best of luck in reducing or ridding your
body of inflammation, scar tissue and pain. Remember to spend the time
researching the homeopathy solutions for your symptoms, disease or disorder.
This will help to limit the amounts of products you take, and to accentuate
your overall healing. You are worth the healing, and the return of your
active life! Scar tissue be gone!
