What is happening on
Earth in relation to the other planets?
Mother Gaia, also know as Earth, is waking up from a deep slumber and with
the assistance of all the planets surrounding her, she is much more needed
than she is feared.
At one point in mythological history, Gaia was the wife to Uranus. They had
many children of whom Uranus disliked and did not treat very well. Gaia took
this to heart and wanted to get revenge. Of all her children, only Saturn
would help to stop Uranus’ mistreatment of the children. So after Saturn
overthrew Uranus and cast him out many years ago, the two planets are once
again at odds with each other and have been since the fall of 2008. They
will only finally reconnect for the fifth time in July 2010.
The archetype of this opposition; Saturn in Libra and Uranus in Aries is
quite tumultuous. Are we to stick with traditions (Saturn) and the old way
of doing things, or are we to power (Aries) forward with all the new and
improved ways of being in this technological (Uranus) age? Watching the news
will give you some ideas as to the conflicts between the old and the new.
So even though there are disasters, extreme events and traumas happening all
around us, we need to start paying attention to the messages that Gaia is
telling us. We need to wake up and realize that earth is alive and needs our
understanding. We need to start working with her instead of against her. Is
this a time where we are going through the survival of the fittest, or is it
a call to each person to wake up and realize that we are actually living on
a live planet?
Aside from all this conflict, the cycles of the other planets continue to
assist us too. The Moon, Mercury, Mars and Venus - all Gaia’s children, have
given us great insights over the years allowing us to ebb and flow, to learn
and teach, to argue and forgive, to love and hate.
Gaia, is physically changing, growing and evolving into a new way of being,
thinking and feeling but not without much struggle and strife. She goes
forward anyway, despite the opposition. She is alive and well.
