Dear Natasha: I hear the word ascension
vaguely alluded to, but what does it actually mean?
Dear Curious: You are not alone in your confusion. In New Age and religious
circles, there are many connotations of ascension. Like the elevator
attendants of old as they announce “Going up!”, I see it as an invitation to
step in and rise up.
In 1986, I was given a vision from what I call “Divine Intelligence”, which
detailed how the planetary transformation of consciousness would unfold. As
the frequencies on earth accelerated, the potential existed for us all to
let go of our stuck-in-the-mud consciousness and become much lighter beings.
If we didn’t surrender to this beautiful vibration, we would leave this
planet and continue our soul’s evolution at our own pace in another less
advanced world. The choice is ours! This great divide is not a judgment of
good or bad, but merely an alignment of physical laws. Just as dark cannot
exist in a lighted room, nor will lower vibrations be able to survive in
this brighter frequency.
Ascension, in my world, represents the decision to open to a higher
consciousness while staying in our current physical bodies as they transform
into lighter beings. In this state, we will be more transparent, truthful
and aware. Many of our old ways will seem archaic, including visiting
psychics! Given our present reality, future “miracles” are beyond our
current comprehension. If I described them here, you might want to lock me
up! What I will tell you is in these light bodies, we will be much closer to
the spirit realm and our inherently divine intelligence. Joy will be our
natural state of being. The many diseases that we now endure will not be
able to manifest in our new state.
Whatever interpretation of ascension you choose, I encourage everyone to be
open and stay in faith. As we move from the old world into the new, let’s
leave our garbage behind. We can prepare for a heaven on earth by:
- letting go of our blocks to joy;
- forgiving ourselves for being human;
- embracing our pasts and what it taught us;
- creating beautiful thoughts for a beautiful future;
- being the person we would like to be with;
- keeping faith in a loving, safe, abundant world;
- opening up to the childlike joy that is our divinity.
