RISING WOMEN EXPERT
ADVICE...
Is there a solution for constipation?
Approximately 90 percent of my clients are constipated! A lot of them think
it’s normal to go once every 3 to 5 days, however ideally we should have
bowel movements 2 to 3 times a day.
Constipation comes in many forms. What a lot of people don’t realize is that
we can be going a little bit every day, but if the quality is poor, hard to
pass or requires straining, this is a form of constipation. Abnormally large
movements and even diarrhea fits under this category as well.
Let’s face it, being constipated can have a major impact on our health, even
on our moods. It can leave us feeling cranky, irritable, fatigued and
excessively full. Constipation then affects us physically, emotionally and
mentally. Direct results of constipation are intestinal toxemia and
autointoxication. The burden created on other excretory organs, including
the skin, the lymphatic system, the kidneys and the lungs, slows down other
systems in our body. They become over-worked and over time, worn out.
Metabolism becomes sluggish and our body’s defenses weakened, creating dis-ease.
The large intestine or colon is a muscle, and just like any other muscle in
the body, if it’s not being worked properly it gets weak. Impacted fecal
matter within the colon will prevent the peristalsis action needed to remove
the toxic-waste.
There are many different causes for constipation. The most common one I hear
is “I don’t have time to go.” Clients report they don’t or can’t stop
whatever it is they are doing when the urge to go calls. Typically, they
brush the urge off telling themselves “I’ll go later”. However, when later
comes the urge is usually gone, but the fecal matter is not. It accumulates
in our colons, getting more and more toxic by the moment. When we ignore
this urge to go, it can turn into a serious issue. Constantly ignoring this
signal results in the body believing that this urge is a false alarm and it
will eventually stop signaling, creating constipation.
Other lifestyle factors, such as lack of water intake, proper diet and
nutrition, inadequate exercise, improper sleep habits and high stress levels
can contribute to constipation. Changing these factors in conjunction with
Colon Hydrotherapy can get your colon back on track, allowing you to achieve
inner harmony. So relax, have a bowel movement and feel better!
