RISING WOMEN EXPERT
ADVICE...
How will Bill C36 affect Canadians?
Bill C36 is a Bill that grants Health Canada power outside the “rule of law”
the ability to make decisions outside the Canadian Courts regarding natural
health products. This means that Health Canada can come into anyone’s
business/home and search without a Court Order. This has already been taking
place, even without this Bill being officially passed. Look up Marigold
Pharmacy in Courtney, BC, and see what happened to them.
Realistically, Health Canada should be accountable to another “organization”
outside itself in order to represent Canadians properly. If this Bill comes
into law, then companies cannot defend themselves against Health Canada’s
compliance regulations, whether it makes sense or not. For instance,
currently Health Canada has decided that “white rice” is dangerous. They are
attempting to make a company who produces a soothing “bear”, that uses a
removable pouch of white rice that can be heated in the microwave, recall
all their products from the last 13 years. Right now, the company can say
“no” and go to court to defend themselves, but if Bill C36 becomes law, they
would be forced out of business. Another example: Health Canada has rejected
giving Parsley capsules a Natural Health Product Number (NPN) on the basis
that their is no “double-blind” studies to confirm that Parsley has any
benefits. Conversely, Red Bull has an NPN number.
Protect your rights now, by doing the following:
- Visit www.nhppa.org and
click on “Bill C36” on the upper menu to inform yourself in detail about
this Bill.
- Watch the film A Question of Sovereignty to see what we are really dealing
with at
www.aquestionofsovereignty.com Then sign the petition to help get
rid of Bill C36.
- Handwrite a 1 to 2 paragraph letter to your MP stating that this Bill is
“Unconstitutional” because it is going against your freedom of choice.
- Join the Natural Health Products Protection Association (NHPPA) to support
their efforts to retain our freedom of choice as Canadians. The NHPPA are
working toward a three-part solution that includes suspending the current
NHP regulations (the loss of natural products must stop!); supporting the
legal challenge (we believe the NHP Regulations are unconstitutional and do
NOT support freedom of choice); and having the Government adopt the “Charter
of Health Freedom” Act (it lets them protect us from actual risks, while
protecting our personal rights.)
