I hate to sell. What marketing strategies can I use to get the phone
to ring so I do not have to make cold calls?

There are only three ways to increase sales without you picking up the
phone: increase the number of referrals, increase the amount of sales per
customer and lastly, go deeper by increasing the amount of return business.
You can create this when you are willing to shift how you perceive marketing
strategies by utilizing these three factors: the Positioning Factor, the
Attraction Factor, and the Trust Factor.
To integrate the Positioning Factor for your product/service you must be
willing to create an irresistible offer. People buy emotionally and make
decisions intellectually so your offer must appeal to both and solve a
problem or a pain. Think like a customer and ask yourself how the following
four elements impact them:
1) Value in the marketplace. No-name brands position themselves as economy
and designer brands position them-selves as a premium product or service.
Which are you?
2) Does time impact your clients? We all seek efficient use of our time.
Does your product/service reflect this?
3) Will your client feel safe and comfortable when working with you?
4) Will they feel appreciated and special during and after working with you?
Your marketing collateral needs to reflect these four elements with a
laser-like quality that speaks to what the client needs. In one word:
Benefits. Simplicity speaks the loudest. For potential clients to make you
their first choice, positioning with laser-like marketing collateral is a
must.
Increasing the Attraction Factor is a very simple process. The challenge?
Are you willing to do this 24/7? You can supercharge your Attraction Factor
by combining your personal capacity to be happy with the moment, by being
open to creating possibilities and by displaying a great sense of humor and
a deep passion for your product/service. Are you a vibrant, sassy,
passionate lover of your product/ service? When your Attraction Factor is
supercharged, your clients will have a readiness to bring you referrals, buy
more and they will keep returning.
The Trust Factor increases your capacity to combine a compassionate caring
heart, a great listening style and the delivery of a “WOW” experience. When
you “WOW” your clients they will connect deeply with you. When you leverage
these three factors deeply your phone will start ringing!
