I hear a lot about the connection of mind, body and spirit. How do all
three tie together?

We are much more than our limited senses perceive us to be! Quantum
physics and modern science now prove what ancient yogis and mystics have
taught for centuries: as humans, we are more than just a collection of
tissue, skin and bones. In fact, what we recognize as our physical body is
really a vibrating mass of intelligent energy. This energy has awareness of
itself or “consciousness”. Our energy includes our physical body, thoughts,
emotions and all of our experiences. The mind, body and spirit are not only
connected, but mutually embedded and working synergistically.
Often we have not been encouraged to recognize the connection between all
aspects of our Being. We may ignore physical sensations or suppress emotions
that we perceive as inappropriate to feel. We may have received messages
such as “no pain-no gain” and “nice girls don’t get angry”. Self-limiting
messages and belief patterns from childhood diminish the connection of our
self as physical, emotional and energetic beings.
How can we encourage connection within ourselves? Explore yourself as a
multi-dimensional individual through the power of awareness. Awareness is a
state of understanding the real truth about your inner most self and living
with the intention of expressing it. Cultivating awareness and living
consciously is a life long journey. The path of inner knowing is a complex
and rewarding discovery yielding many gifts along the way.
Awareness is more than simply recognizing patterns in your life and in your
body; it’s a deeper wisdom rooted in the only law of the universal: Love.
Allow yourself the time and space to nourish all aspects of your body, mind
and spirit. Engage in activities that delight your soul - whether it is
walking in nature, appreciating the sound of music or devotion in your place
of worship. Open your mind with new ideas and activities. Cultivate greater
love for yourself and learn about your patterns through modalities like
bodywork, yoga and meditation which encourage you to surrender to the moment
and take whatever comes your way with an open heart. An aware being lives
free of constrictions of this world, completely from the heart and able to
relate to anyone and anything with the gift of abundant love and without
attachment. Embrace harmony of Being - enjoy the journey!
