When growing up in the Caribbean, Julie-ann fell in love with hair at a
very young age. She was always eager to help the older girls braid their
hair, a tradition and technique that anchored her career later in life.
After high school she pursued her passion and attended a college that
specialized in hair and aesthetics. “I was excited to get started and always
envisioned that I would have my own company,” Julie-ann recalls.
After college, Julie-ann went on to live and work in different countries and
cities which eventually led her to Calgary, which she now calls home. Here
she has established her own company, Coca Blitz Hair Design
and has built a strong client base. She continues to strengthen her skills
by attending industry trade shows both locally and internationally.
When asked what she specializes in, Julie-ann proudly states: “I specialize
in makeovers. I can take short hair at just about any length and make it
long and sexy in just a few hours.” Julie-ann uses over 10 different methods
of hair extensions so you can be guaranteed that she has a technique that
suits your hair and lifestyle.
Julie-ann works with all different hair types and she also specializes in
multi-cultural hair and curly hair. “I have all the secrets to taking you
from frizzy to fabulous,” Julie-Ann says. “As my client I make sure you get
the latest tips on how to effortlessly work with your curls.”
Julie-Ann’s services include the basics from cuts to colors, as well as
perms, chemical straightening, braiding, dreadlocks and of course, hair
