Calgary Immigrant Women’s Association (CIWA) delivers
professional services that facilitate the integration & full participation
of women & their families in the community.
Calgary Immigrant Women’s Association (CIWA) was established in 1982
as a non-profit organization to address the needs and concerns of immigrant
and refugee women, youth, children and families. The demand for our services
increases with each passing year as Calgary receives the fourth largest
intake of newcomers to Canada.
At CIWA, we provide a number of services to meet the diverse
needs of immigrant and refugee women and their families. We offer language
training, employment services, settlement support, legal clinics, family
services, health education, and programs for youth and seniors.
CIWA is also the only immigrant serving agency in Calgary
offering all-female programs and services. We offer first language support,
childcare and programs in 60 locations throughout Calgary.
Interested in getting involved with CIWA? We welcome
volunteers from all walks of life. Our volunteers are involved in every
aspect of our agency. Please visit
