“It’s Time To Tell.” The purpose of Catharsis Foundation
is to promote cathartic healing for survivors of child abuse through writing &
enlightening society by revealing secrets. Newly
incorporated August 2004, Catharsis Foundation is a non-profit
charity that encourages cathartic healing for adult survivors of child abuse and provides
an opportunity to purge effectively without being judged, labelled or interrupted. Catharsis
Foundation recognizes Survivors’ strengths and accomplish-ments and
believes Survivors should not pay to be heard or understood when sharing their wisdom or
helping others.
Keeping private journals is cathartic but secretive and publishing the
journals is costly for Survivors. Catharsis Foundation seeks to
raise money to help Survivors purge and to publish their books under the common title of Cathartic
Chronicles. Profits from these books are directed to the authors - where it
belongs, because Society should NOT profit from child abuse.
Catharsis Foundation seeks people to become
involved in its development and growth. Volunteers are invited to serve on the Board of
Directors, coordinate fundraisers, market, edit manuscripts, offer web maintenance,
volunteer recruitment and much more.
Businesses can show their support by making Catharsis
Foundation their community cause, or by giving tax-deductible donations for
expenses and the endowment fund, or by selling Cathartic Chronicles
books for the Survivors.
