Nora O'Connell is a
living testament to the power of her product.
Nora first discovered Mink Oil back in 1990 when she was suffering from
severe skin allergies. At a visit to the Calgary Women's Show with her
husband, her curious spouse managed to book 27 different facials for her in
an attempt to find a skincare product that would not irritate her condition.
As she tried product after product, Nora learned to expect the usual
flare-up, but to her surprise she found one that actually helped calm her
skin. The Rosemarie Collection was a full skincare line containing mink oil,
and Nora was immediately hooked.
Nora signed up right away as a distributor, mostly to get the products for
herself at the distributor's rate, but of course she told everyone she knew
about her discovery, so she also built a downline and a client list at the
same time.
Originally from Montreal, Nora moved to Calgary in 1978 with her husband and
three sons. Having travelled extensively across Canada, the family agreed
that Southern Alberta was where they wanted to live. Nora laughs, though,
that she would have settled in Medicine Hat but she was outvoted.
Nora worked for a furnace oil company and then secured a job as secretary at
her childrens' school. She then became their cubmaster, while her husband
later took up the positions of scoutmaster and hockey coach. Her sons used
to joke that they wouldn't have had the chance to get into trouble even had
they been so inclined!
After the school, Nora worked for a medical clinic in Calgary and then as
assistant manager at Acadia Recreation Complex.
Her next move was into a position as Chairperson of the Employment Insurance
Board of Appeal, which led her to her current position of Returning Office
for Calgary East. She loves this work, which is interesting and varied, even
though the pace and stress levels really heat up at election time.
Since Peoplesway was founded, based on two of The Rosemarie Collection's
most powerful products, Nora has been putting even more of her effort behind
these incredible supplements. Nora loves the Peoplesway line of high impact,
therapeutical products with which her customers often experience
improvements in chronic conditions in as little as one day.
Nora's husband was a prime candidate for Protec, as he suffered from
arthritis so bad that he was forced to take debilitating, daily doses of
morphine for the pain. Nora laughs that it took them a while to clue in that
he should really try Protec, but since he has started to take the product he
has stopped taking the morphine and his arthritis has settled right down.
Nora's husband is now retired, but he loves to help with her business, and
together they are planning to help build Peoplesway until it becomes a
household name.
Nora also enjoys a great deal of volunteering in her spare time. As a
survivor of breast cancer, she does the May and October walks and she helps
out with the bi-annual fundraising drives. She also helps with the drives
for the Heart and Stroke Foundation. She volunteers at her church, and then
with the few remaining hours she says she spends time with her cats Missy
and Whiskey and she sleeps.
Peoplesway has provided Nora with such a great way for her to help her
clients find solutions to their health problems, and she plans to spend the
next few years building her network of distributors and clients.
As for the future, she would like to travel some more. She has already seen
a great deal of Canada and the US, but she has a strong urge to see the
Middle East, Israel and Greece.
