Artist
Jilly, a native from NJ currently calls Texas home.
Looking back, Jilly was always
passionate about making art and believed she was an artist from a very young
age. Her passion for color, fascination with painting and keen
eye for design led to Jilly’s fine art training. She attended The School of
Visual Arts, The Art Students League and received a Degree in Textile Design
from FIT in NYC. Early on in her career, Jilly worked as a textile designer
in the fashion, apparel and home furnishings industry in NYC. Also
interested in people, Jilly received her MSW from Fordham University, NY and
is a Licensed Psychotherapist with training in Art Therapy.
To
know Jilly is to understand that color is her passion and the driving force
in all her creations. She uses very bright, bold color and her
canvas as a play-ground. Her paintings are filled with many different types
of emotions, energy and colorful explosions. JillyArt is a celebration of
life, capturing the essence and spirit of people, personalities and life
experiences. Never planning her paintings ahead of time, she believes that
by following her intuition and never limiting her self expression, her
process evolves spontaneously as she goes about her visual journey. JillyArt
is both figurative and expressive in style. It is an outpouring of her
voice, feelings, visions, conflicts, fears and other emotions that are both
conscious and subconscious. She finds great pleasure filling her canvas by
combining vibrating colors full of energy and movement in ways that may
touch and excite the viewer.
Jilly
now works independently, painting and exhibiting her original paintings in
galleries and shows throughout the US. Her paintings hang in various
galleries, museums, hospitals, businesses and private homes. JillyArt has
also been featured on several magazine covers and published in fine art
books. She also believes strongly in giving back and donates her art to help
raise money to support many of her favorite charities throughout the year.
Jilly’s mission is to continue to
grow and evolve as an artist who can capture the spirit of life through
artistic creations. To see more JillyArt, you are invited to
