Oxygenated Water - Experiencing a New Sense of Energy
By Gerald K. Wilke
I have been drinking bottled water since the
1980s and have worked as the general manager of several major bottled water
companies since 1993. Until recently, I felt that water was water and there was no health
benefit from any particular kind that I drank. Now, all that has changed with the
introduction of oxygenated water in the bottled water industry. Its benefits may improve
the lifestyle of everyone from the physically fit to chronically ill. The oxygen levels in
our environment have decreased over the past three decades from 38% to the present level
of between 15-20%. This is thought to be a key-contributing factor in the increase of
fatigue, sickness, allergies, asthma and many other body abnormalities. Oxygen deprivation
within our body has been directly linked to many of these problems.
The haemoglobin molecule is the bodys means of transporting
oxygen. Water carrying high concentrations of oxygen can move easily within our body. The
haemoglobin molecule readily picks up the oxygen that is available in oxygenated water.
This allows our bodies to produce and supply ATP (Adenosine Troposphere) to the muscles,
giving them strength and elasticity. A lack of oxygen, known as hypoxia, can cause an
oxygen-deficient form of ATP known as lactic acid. This reduces the efficiency of the
muscles and can lead to cramps, pulls and strains which everyone, especially athletes,
needs to avoid in our daily lives. The diet of people throughout the world also attributes
to the rising problem of hypoxia. This happens when a high saturation of fat reduces
oxygen in the blood stream. Foods high in fat and low in nutritional value cause stress on
the body. This is due to the fact that they diminish the oxygen by 50% of the original
saturation. The body, in turn, tries to rid itself of the extra toxins, thus causing a
shortage of oxygen in the haemoglobin. Oxygenated water reduces this effect in two ways,
first being used as a natural flushing mechanism and at the same time replenishing oxygen
to your oxygen starved body.
For many of us, feeling mediocre has become a way of life and we often blame
these feelings on other things rather than the real cause, which is the lack of oxygen in
the body. The bodys need for water is second only to its need for oxygen.
Haemoglobin needs 40 molecules of water to transport one molecule of oxygen to the cells.
This helps us understand why we need to consume at least 8 glasses of water daily. An
inadequate amount of water can cause the haemoglobin to actually repel oxygen. It has been
estimated that nearly 90% of our society is clinically dehydrated. Our bodies need 1/2 oz.
of water per pound of body weight each day to function properly.
Two-time Nobel Prize winning researcher Dr. Otto Warburg determined that
healthy cells might become cancerous as a result of oxygen deprivation. Oxygenated water
is the perfect fit to help our body deal with our water and oxygen needs. Oxygenated water
stimulates growth efficiency of friendly bacteria that the body needs for good health. It
decreases the effectiveness of harmful pathogenic invaders. Viruses and nearly all known
pathogenic bacteria are unable to survive in an oxygen rich environment.
A conclusion reached by Dr. Med. N. Drakhshan stated that oral oxygen
therapy is not widely used at this time. It is surprising that this therapy, which has no
side effects and does not need constant doctors supervision, has not found a wider
audience. One of the main reasons is the lack of production of adequate levels of
oxygen-enriched water, commercially available only relatively recently. Oxygen levels of
water are a big concern on everyones mind. I knew that various sources of water had
different quantities of oxygen. My studies revealed, for example, that spring water (at
source) has 10-12 mg/l, reverse osmosis has 0-4 mg/l, distilled contain 0 mg/l and
oxygenated water has a minimum of 30-40 mg/l. In looking at how oxygenated water can
benefit the body, we can see how radically, yet simply, it can change our everyday lives.
Oxygenated water will allow everyone to experience life with a new sense of energy. By
simply drinking 7-8 glasses of oxygenated water everyday you may change your life forever.
