RISING WOMEN EXPERT
ADVICE...
Why am I and so many others around me so
unmotivated in business?
As I write this, it is already mid-November and you, like me, may be asking
yourself where the past few months have gone? Perhaps you’re wondering why
you don’t seem to have the momentum and/or motivation that you’d hoped would
ensue after a relaxing summer (whilst at your job or your own business).
You’re not alone, as I’ve spoken to several women who have expressed feeling
sluggish in their work and have even felt their goals were succumbing to
inertia!
Too much isolation can be a dream killer as sitting alone for too long with
an idea is more likely to breed self-doubt than spark an action plan. Maybe
it’s time to re-connect with your “why” and give your goals a reality-check.
For whatever the reason, if your goal doesn’t match your heart’s desires,
now is the time to choose again, whether it’s a different career or tweaking
and amping up your business.
Here are three questions to ask yourself to help you find your true calling;
and/or to re-motivate you and your business:
1) How does what you are doing make you feel? When you’re honoring your
soul’s purpose, there’s an undeniable sense of stimulation, enthusiasm and
even exhilaration. You feel “juiced” or “jazzed” from the experience. You
just know it’s right!
2) Does it have a positive impact on others? When you’re engaged in work
that makes you feel strong, connected and aligned with your truth, it’s the
same when shared. Nothing that really calls you is ever for you alone.
3) Does it turn up the volume and increase the vibration of your life?
Whenever you’re embracing who you’re meant to be, you’re more awake, alive
and ready to play a vital part in the world. When others see your light
shining, they’re more inspired to shine theirs too.
I also invite you to write down your top five passions, but don’t stop
there. Ask a few close friends to help you identify your strengths and true
talents. I’ve done this at a few different junctures in my life when I was
feeling stuck and unsure. I find it to be the creative fuel needed to get
some real traction with the ideas I am tossing around that are just not
coming to fruition. This process is revealing and enlightening, and I am
always grateful for my friends insight.
If you’re seeking connection, look for a mentor or a coach who can guide you
to your desired outcome and discover the rewards that motivate you best.
