RISING WOMEN EXPERT ADVICE...

My sales and cash flow have been on a rollercoaster this year. How can I create more consistency?

Even though we are in the midst of a recession, people are still spending and people still need products and services. The change for the consumer is that everyone is looking for the best value. Before they buy they are asking what they need right now. Your customers will buy based on these three reasons: you are very likeable, they truly are in need of your products, and there will be a great return for them after they have made the purchase. Your challenge is to define how you will score high in each of these areas. Create a benchmark for each of these areas and challenge yourself for continuous improvement.

Here are 6 steps you need to implement into your business activities for consistency:

1) Create absolute clarity as to the value of what you offer. Your customers will buy based on these three reasons: you are very likeable, they truly are in need of your products, and there will be a great return for them after they have made the purchase. I cannot say this enough.

2) Reflect, listen, learn and truly understanding your client’s needs. When you work with your clients, you need to be very mindful that you are able to be totally present, authentic and compassionate. Are you ready to quiet your own agenda? Are you prepared to ask powerful questions? When you focus on the needs of your clients you will radiate a presence that builds deeper connections and client loyalty.

3) Be prepared to offer Wow customer service. Now is the time to complete a SWOT on your capacity to offer customer service. By reviewing your Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats you can move your customer service to a WOW state. Now is the time to make a commitment to your client.

4) Forecast your 12 month cash flow and chunk it down to weekly sales goals. In addition, chunk down your expenses to a monthly forecast. Rule of thumb: if you can’t make the sale, why are you spending any money?

5) Develop a strategic plan to implement your sales objectives and set weekly and daily goals.

6) Finally, practice extreme self-care and self-nurturing. When your personal energy is excellent you will have maximized your charisma and clients will be naturally drawn to you.
